With a capacity of 200 MW and 400 MWh of storage, the facility can power up to 80,000 homes.<\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The project is pivotal in helping to stabilize <strong>Victoria\u2019s<\/strong> electricity grid, offering vital support during peak demand periods. <strong>Eku Energy<\/strong> highlighted that this facility is its third global battery project, contributing to a growing portfolio of over 50 upcoming energy storage projects.<\/p>\n<p>This project marks <strong>Shell Energy\u2019s<\/strong> first direct equity investment in a utility-scale battery energy storage system worldwide. The system was developed in partnership with <strong>Fluence<\/strong>, a joint venture of AES and Siemens, which will also provide ongoing maintenance services.<\/p>\n<p>The Rangebank BESS is fully committed under a 20-year offtake agreement with <strong>Shell Energy<\/strong>, reinforcing the company\u2019s commitment to renewable energy integration.
