Online Monitoring for HV, Oil Immersed CTs and VTs

WEBCAST: Online Monitoring for HV, Oil Immersed CTs and VTs

January 29 – December 31

High voltage CTs and VTs are the most common instrument transformers utilize for load and voltage measurement in HV substations. They are continuously exposed to harsh ambient conditions and electrical stresses.
CTs and VTs are seldom included in substation component offline testing, unlike other components in the substation. However, when failure occurs the results are usually catastrophic. A threat not only to adjacent equipment but to the safety and wellbeing of workers in the substation.
In this webcast, you will learn techniques that can be utilized through online monitoring of these devices to make reliability improvements and reduce the risk of unexpected failure.
Presented by Brian Sparling SMIEE, Senior Technical Advisor Dynamic Ratings Inc., Canada
